A girls' day out with Haz was fun fun fun!
And I was late because of the bus.
I can't believe it came late, and 2 buses came at the same time.
And the bus I boarded took such a loooooong time to travel.
It took 20 minutes just to reach Dhoby Ghaut from my place. Can you believe that?
Tested my patience.
It usually takes half that time to reach Dhoby Ghaut unless it's peak hour traffic.

Anyway, we ate. That's the first thing we did cos I was famished!
Anyone who's out with me knows that food is extremely important. Haha.
When is there ever a time that I'm out with anyone and NOT eat? Hmmm... Don't think there ever was.
Then we walked our way up town, got my Birkies, Haz got her flats, more eating... and the all-important girl talk.
Had to leave early cos Mum had plans to head down to the Night Safari that night.

It was my first trip to Night Safari. No kidding.
It was pretty enjoyable.
Brought Sarah along and she enjoyed herself too but she got pretty tired on the tram and fell asleep. Don't blame her, it was kinda late for a baby to stay awake.

And today was spent with the fiance.
We both agreed that it felt like a weekday.
Probably because our Sundays are usually spent sleeping.
It was a movie at the neighbourhood cinema. This could be pretty much our next favourite cinema to go to cos you don't have to hassle with the crowd!

It's the last day of the year tomorrow.
Happy New Year!
What's your resolution for 2008?
I've not thought of any yet but hope '08 will be a blast for everyone...

And I thought we were kiasu.
Turned out we weren't the only ones.
Mum & I spent our Friday at Arab Street finding material to match our sarongs we bought during our KL trip.
Get it over & done with, you know?
Well, I thought we were like the earliest people to do that and really didn't expect anyone else to be there.
Turned out that every other person was there on that very particular Friday too!
Arab Street was packed!

Digressing a little, Im loving my nails...
Went for pedi & mani with Mum & Nina who faithfully waited for me for about 1.5 hours.
The manicurist commented that they were very patient people... Hehe.
Did the french mani and classic pedi.
Nice nice. I like.
Well, when you have to fork out money, it had better be nice. Haha.

On another note, guess that mutual relationship has to be maintained.
Deep down, I know the true emotions masked by that smile.
Why does it have to be superficial?
Oh well...

Anyway, I fell in love with this pair of spectacle frame by Levi's.
I'm wondering if I should make another pair of glasses.
It makes me look quite teacher-ish but I love it!
Maybe one day, I'll drag the fiance down to have a peek at it again... and maybe, just maybe, satisfy my lust...

Results are out!
I was shopping by myself yesterday when I received smses and calls from friends telling me that results are out.
Contrary to what others say, I quite like to shop by myself.
Maybe I've not found that perfect shopping partner yet cos guys can get so boring as shopping partners... agree?

Anyway, regarding the release of exam results, I was super anxious and nervous at the same time.
I simply had to check the results there & then! I couldn't wait till I reached home.
The anxiety would simply kill me.
So I dropped by Mum's office. Hehe.
I simply had to know how I did for that Physics paper.
I left the hall that day feeling like crap.
I got a B- for that paper.
Phew! What a relief!
I got B+ and B- for all modules except for my geometry paper: C+
Of all the papers, how can I get a C+ for a Math paper?!
Received a better grade for the number systems paper though =)

But I must say I'm pretty happy with the results.
Some of the modules were pretty ambiguous with no guidelines given.
Ambiguity gives rise to stress.
So now that the results have been released, it's time to party even harder!

Had a grand time today with the family doing what we do best: shop.
*beamz*
Still need to get a pair of Birkies cos my current ones look too crappy but I still refuse to throw them away cos they're so comfy, a good pair of shoes, a bottle of perfume for day use, a bag (should I?) and other random stuff.
Another shopping trip with Mum tomorrow...
Gotta get my rest!

Have you seen how sucky the general timetable for sem 2 is?
Aaaargh.
Bleagh.
Hope the personalised timetable will be a lot better.
I gotta pray for a miracle to happen.
It's haunting us even during the holidays.

Anyway, I got myself a top from Topshop.
Very sequin-y. I like.
And according to the fiance, it has holes at the wrong places.
Haha.
It shows off my back and the bra strap could be seen but one could always go bra-less... right?

Yesterday marked our one year of engagement.
Time has zoomed by.
It has been a honeymoon period compared to this upcoming year.
Lots of preparations to be done!
I'm jittery just thinking about it.
I mean sure, there's excitement but I'm feeling jittery at the same time.
There's so many things to do, and all at the same time!
Well, we've had 9 honeymoon years together so I shouldn't be complaining.
Thanks, love, for all that we have.

I'm feeling woozy now.
Well, I've only had about 3 hours of sleep last night.
Had a wonderful time with him, that was until I've to wake up at 6 freaking a.m. this morning!
I've to send my one and only brother to camp.
And why am I not sleeping yet, you may ask?
Cos I've got my facial session later at 10.30 a.m.
Oh how I do regret setting the appointment today at such an unearthly hour.

I'm going to take a short eye-rest (I refuse to call it a nap cos my naps last for 4 hours at the very least!) before heading off.
I'm thinking of getting a pedi & mani since it's the perfect timing to get them done.
Hmmm...

I'm finally back. How I do miss home.
We went for a drive up to KL which was confirmed at the very last minute by Mum.
Last Sunday, Mum decided, "We're going to KL on Thursday!"
And it happened.
I was this close to not going cos I had a case of food poisoning on Monday.
It got real bad on Tuesday and I went to the hospital on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.
But all seems well on Thursday morning.
Feeling a lot better now.

It was just a getaway from Singapore.
It was too late to go anywhere else so KL it was.
Once again, I'm frustrated at not being able to shop except at British India and Naf Naf since everything else is cheaper back home.
I'm venting my frustrations later today and hopefully throughout the holidays.
Shopping, baby!
The joys of spending... It's making me excited just thinking about it!

But I didn't attend Wana's engagement yesterday.
I couldn't make it back in time.
Anyway, congratulations babe! I'm sure you look gorgeous albeit your rantings...

Alrightey, I gotta go write a brief shopping list of the essentials.
Top priority!

I'm craving.

Satay.

Haagen-Dazs.

I've been real busy lately. And for many more days to come.
Attended Aunty Rasiah's book launch at the Arts House on Saturday followed by a group lunch with Mum's friends. Pretty fun.
Then it was shopping till late with Mum.
It was super packed. We ended the night (or morning) chilling at McD.
Nice.

Mum figured it was time for me to get my monthly facial rituals.
Mum pays for it... Never realised facial packages could be so freaking expensive!
First session Sunday morning (gasp!).
My poor nose. It was squeezed and scraped till no more whiteheads could be seen.
Ouch.
Still, I'm looking forward to the next session.
Hee.
Then it was weddings galore... Sighz.
It's so tiring to travel from one end of Singapore to the other end just to attend wedding functions.

And now, my body aches after the jog at East Coast yesterday morning.
The fiance asks, "Another session next week?"
Hmmm... I'm seriously contemplating since I'm aching from head to toe.
It didn't feel too bad yesterday.
But it's been a million years since I last ran.
This explains why.

Today's gonna be another busy day.
Spending the afternoon at Eym's and the night at the fiance's place.
And it's Eym's wedding tomorrow!
So exciting!
Can't wait to see her clad in all things glamorous! Wedding dresses are glamorous, right?

Thinking bout the upcoming events for this week and next week is making me hungry.
Gotta go get myself nourished with breakfast.
My stomach's growling!
