yes, im stil breathin.
we had our games' day on friday.
it was a hot & sticky affair. i hate all these outdoorsy, messy events.
i tried to be the class photographer, out of my own will, but that didn't turn out as expected cos i was too bz chasin & screamin after the kids.
im responsible for them so i need to ensure that they're around me at all times.
but kids wil always be kids. they're always runnin off.


met haslina for dinner after that.
bought 2 pairs of footwear for myself & she was lookin for some stuff she needs before she leaves.
so it was a very enjoyable girls' day out. spendin money never fails to make me feel happy. haha.
it should be otherwise, i noe. but retail therapy's one of my loves. can't do without it.
& of coz, addin on to my collection of shoes makes me elated. i love shoes!! *screams*


yesterday was an early start for both bf & i.
headed to scdf community bondin day at bukit batok. so far i noe.
had a gd time.
& yes, i finally experienced for myself the hard work that the bf goes thru at work. it's not like i never knew his work was tough, i juz had a theoretical concept of it in my head.
yesterday, the practical understandin sunk in. boy were those equipment heavy!
i almost fell backwards wen the guy helped me put on the oxygen tank on my back! & that horrible mask, gawd! it suffocates me & the compressed air supply that was provided almost choked me. the aftermath of it? i suffered from slight difficulty in breathin.
lots of lecherous mats but u juz hav to close one eye i guess.
bf came well-prepared cos he knew the outcome.
i felt awkward & uneasy under such 'watchful' eyes. but wat can i do? it's the mats' hub.
lunch was at jurong point, which in my opinion is extremely boring, before headin off to siglap where we finally felt more at 'home'.


had a great time on both friday & saturday. which then brings me to a boring sunday filled with marking, plannings & listings.
done with all the obligated tasks, which explains why i finally hav time to update my almost stagnant blog!
oh juz a reminder to myself: head to skul early tomoro to do more marking! cos i left them on my table in the common room.
with ramadhan comes early dismissal (yay!). im sooo thankful for that.
i can't wait for the freakin term to end!
& tomoro is only the start of Week 3...

i've lost track of the number of days i've not blogged.
u see, there's an extremely valid reason...
i've started teaching. yes.
at the most stressful place i can think of. haha!
it's only been a week but im soooo gawd damn shagged!! all the markings & the scoldings (the sctudents) & the preparations.. it's really tyin me down.
reality has sunk in. work's a bitch.
i miss skul already.... aaargh!!
im not married but somehow i feel like a mother to 30 kids... more actually, if u count the other 3 classes that i take.
they're adorable but they can really get on my nerves. for one, they CAN'T STOP TALKING!!
the incessant chattering drives me up the wall. really.
& for every little thing, it's "teacher, teacher..." or "miss siti..."
goodness!! guess i stil need time to adjust to this clingy-ness.
i do like them but i can't help scoldin them cos they're soooo noisy.
but they're so cute, especially the P1s.


workload's a real bitch tho. half an hr for 1 period is not enuf!!
wat happened to the good old 1 hr for one period??
or is that only for jc & varsity curriculum??
so im rushin, rushin.. tryin my best to complete my markings & everythin else in skul.
children's day is drawin near. need to get those sugary, sticky stuff soon.. haha!
i sound like the wicked witch from hensel & gretel. feedin them with sweets to make them grow fat!
well, that's wat children love & i guess, it's okay to indulge once in a while.


im sooo tired. & hungry.
& i need to get a trim.
weekends juz seem to whizz by & weekdays seem like forever!!
gonna take a snooze..

24hrs a day is not enuf...

i've received my posting in the mail last friday.
was sooo excited wen mum ferz told me i'd received a letter from moe cos i was expectin the posting memo. as i read the letter, nervousness penetrated through the excitement i felt cos of the school postin.
ppl tell me it's a great start & yes, i agree. it's great cos i'd never attended a neighbourhood school before either so i don't hav to deal with 'virgin' experience of bein in one.
but such a school will definitely hav its own high expectations. & by high, i really mean sky high...
after surfin through the webbie to get to know the school better, it confirmed my judgements.
nonetheless, im stil excited. meetin the VP this thursday & she sounded nice over the phone.
that kinda boosted my confidence a lil.


so yesterday was my last day of work at my temp job.
lovely colleagues treated me to lunch despite my protests. they're a great bunch & im sure i'll miss workin with them.
the flexi hours & dresscode are added bonuses. hehe.


had a date with darlin priya last nyte. we haven't met in eons!!
last we met was last year, for her birthday...
she looks great, havin a great life, a fun career... & of coz, earnin lots of moolah. haha. its true!!
if only i can join the industry, which by the way, is juz pure fantasy on my part cos both the mum & bf are against it.
so we had a great time, lots of stories, lots of laughter.. lots of catchin up.
stil havin those bitchy talks we had in skul. haha..
10 years of frenship & we've both grown up a great deal since then.
time passes by sooo fast...


so officially, i start work nxt monday. hav lots of shoppin to do.
cos i dun hav 'work' clothes to wear. mum bought me 2 pairs of mango pants & i juz luuuurve them. need to get a few more but i hav to look ard & my body is achin today. thot of goin for a while juz now but i've decided i need the bed more. haha.
so i need to get a few more bottoms, tops & a handbag. & it juz so happens that i need to replenish a few of my facial stuff.
bf said i should juz overhaul my wardrobe & get all my pieces from mango. i totally agree with him!!
haha.. i'll do that... collectin piece by piece. or maybe not. i may juz go on a spree knowin wat an impulsive person i can be at times. & now that mum is stil payin for all my shoppin. haha... it won't be anymore in a mth's time.
gawd, im spendin so much even before im earnin!!
guess, i better make a list of wat i need to get so i won't overspend... & prob hit the shops tomoro or tonyte.
but rite now, the bed is soooo invitin...
