3 papers down...2 more to go!! havin ethno paper in a few hours time... & ritual paper tomoro. realise that im not really into anthro as i thot i would be. more of a sociologist at heart cos i guess i simply don't care enuf bout others' cultures.

i've always been amused with quotes by sociologists. an example would be the definition of dirt by mary douglas. dirt is matter out of place. simple, direct yet interestin if u ponder on it. it really describes everythin...like how many times i've felt like 'dirt' among ppl whom im not comfortable with since im matter out of place.
another interestin observation by loffland..altho it's a dated piece written by him...how he describes ppl havin a night life as adoptin a nocturnal life. can u believe that!? nocturnal!! he associated ppl to animals! maybe durin his time, only ppl of a certain background roamed the streets at nyte. found his description amusin. subcultures appear normal at nyte since there's less visibility, less control. 'normal' ppl at nyte appear abnormal. it's the society who defines who's normal & who's not & it's subjective to time & place. again, the use of 'dirt' by mary douglas can be used here, in my opinion of coz.

okay, don't think i'll go on further cos i don't wanna give a soci lecture or sth. but isn't soci juz so interestin?? i love it =) there's more interestin stuff to read & even more interestin observations made.

been up since subuh prayers...revisin for my paper later. been slpin late & wakin up early...oooh...this is def not good. been religiously applyin eye cream cos im afraid that my eyebags wil worsen over time. it's only visible wen i smile now. eheh...anyway, it's a gd habit to cultivate cos mie has repeatedly been remindin me to apply eyecream. hav been usin up hers anyway. haha...ex lar.

gotta go bathe soon. lookin forward to my final paper tomoro..

if ure wonderin why im awake at such a timin (it's super early for me...hehe) is due to new media. im studyin for it since i'll be sittin for the paper later at 2.30. surfin thru the webbies recommended but im sooo tired of new media oready. juz wanna get it over & done with today & get a gd grade of coz, & it's gonna be out of my life forever!! uh huh!! no more new media mods for me thank you..no sirree...

but im deviatin a lil cos i've gone thru my notes & stuff. so im uploadin & savin pix & bloggin now of coz...hehe. destress....not sure if i should go bk to slp after this. but im hungry...& im not sure if bibik has prepared breakfast...hmm..she should hav cos mie juz left for work. wil rummage thru the kitchen later...

met bf last nyte! he had his nyte's off...& meetin him again later tonyte! weee!! & tomoro...hehe...im soooo lookin forward to that!

oh & wana made this chicken mayo sandwich yesterday. it was magnifique!! sooo delicious! it was juz rite...not too much mayo so much so that it becomes soggy..& i could taste the crunchiness of the vege added. yum!! hope she'd teach me how to do it. =)

okay...i wanna find for sth to eat whilst the photos are bein uploaded on frenster...

had my ferz paper yesterday - urban soci. very do-able. was in pretty high spirits yesterday. did one paper for chinese juz now. gawd...it's sooo blardy irritatin!! grrr..can't wait for it to be over!! & that's nxt mon.

anyway, nina's away in kL now. with her frenz. she went shoppin at klcc yesterday. sounded happie! bet she's enjoyin the food & buyin all the dvds she can lay her hands on! wat can i xpect from a 14 yr old girl?? she's not into clothes & stuff. bet she's buyin up the jap cartoons like she did the last time. & to think mie subscribed the anime channel for her... haha... she left on monday & comin back tomoro...

thinkin of gettin myself a new laptop but the skul is only sellin acer, fujitsu, apple & ibm. apple & ibm - out. one's too troublesome & the other's too ugly. & wat am i goin to do with this current one?? hmmm..maybe pass it to nina. not too sure. cos mie's gettin a new pc since her's kaput. & her laptop is soooo big & heavy. acap's gettin a new pc too since he refuses to use the old one that mie got for him. complainin it's too slow for his games & stuff. & me?? i juz need a new laptop. gonna check out the models ferz. if i can't find any good one, wil prob delay the purchase or sth. oh well, we'll see...

anyway, gotta perform my maghrib prayers. havin dinner soon...happy studyin to everyone who's faced with exams! look on the bright side...it's gonna be over soon... =)

the past wk had been great. wkdays were spent studyin in skul with camwhorin in between...destress. hehe... attended the briefin at moe on thursday & met up with haslina for lunch. dropped by her office to meet previous colleagues. nice bunch of ppl. there's addition of members to the family...they seem pretty nice. glad to see haslina's doin well.

went to bf's fren's place at jurong west on sat cos the guy, fadly, held his open house that day. met some of his work frenz & their gfs... there were 2 girls - one talks waaaay too much about nothin (literally) & the other is too MINA. haha..there's really no other word for me to use to describe her. gawd... said they've been wantin to meet me. im sorry but apparently, i dun share the same sentiments. haha..im bein such a bitch but it's true!! oh well, better stop my bitchin here. i juz felt extremely, excruciatingly uncomfortable hence the bitchin. okay jannah, shut up!!
