I did some last minute shopping earlier. Those few things sure weighed a ton.
& I got my waffle ice-cream!
So we'll be leaving for Perth in about 24hrs time.
Aussie again?
Pretty ironic when Mum said she doesn't wanna go Aussie again. Cos everywhere looks the same. Apparently because it's cooler climate now & something that all of us could agree on. I suggested Egypt or Venice (so romantic, don't you think?) or Rome but it's farking hot this time of the year. Egypt's 42 freaking degree celsius! Europe's experiencing summer too since it's the same time last year that we went to London & Paris. Then I suggested States cos the exchange rate's freaking cheap right now. At a buying rate of 1.4, it's the lowest rate ever! We could have gone nuts shopping! But Mum flatly put down that idea. She has never been for the idea of going to States. Mum suggested Punchak, Bandung... those cooler climate places of Indo but Acap's against the idea. He doesn't feel safe in Indo. Very true indeed as the news released the latest news on Indo having the highest rate of bird flu infectants. Then she asked... Bali? Phuket? We're pretty cool with those places but what's she gonna do? Mum can't swim you see. & she has pretty low threshold of the heat and the sun. So bad idea. We finally agreed on Perth, where it's cooler since it's winter although their winter is not much of a winter... Haha. I mean, it's still bearable at 8/9 degrees. But sometime last week, the temperature dipped to 2 degrees. Yeowch.
But I so wanna go States... I wanna grab those bags! I just spent 1.6K on a Fendi bag but that 1.2K Gucci bag I originally wanted is still on the shelf! How? How? So tempting! Or maybe that tiny LV bag. Mum bought a Coach bag & wallet from States 2 months back & it's super cheap compared to the prices here. But I've never been fond of Coach cos the design just doesn't appeal to me. I was pretty shocked when she showed me the bag she bought. I went, "Mum, that sucks!" Pretty mean but I can't stand my mum using or wearing things which in my opinion, sucks. Quite authoritative I know, but that's what Aries' are. She asked if I wanted anything from there but nothing I viewed online appealed to my senses. My cousins thought it was nice though. Well, the price is nice cos it's not one of the higher end brands but I don't think it's worth it. But at a price of 1K for both bag & wallet after conversion, you can't deny that it's reasonable. Which is the reason why Mum got it. To think she just got herself another Ferragamo bag just before that Coach one!
A reason as to why States is so tempting is due to the branded stuff which is cheaper after conversion. A huge turn on factor. Next is the cheap apparels like Levi's, Hilfiger, Guess... you name it. Then there's the Victoria Secrets, Bath & Body Works... Oh I can just ramble on! But... since we're not going there, it's pointless to dream about shopping there.
But I'm still pretty excited at the thought of riding on the ATV over the sand dunes in Perth! I just hope it's open in winter! Acap & I are hyped up bout it! Another reason to make full good use of my new shoes! I'm trying not to excite myself too much on the shopping bit cos it may turn out to be disappointing. Who has heard of shopping spree in Perth? Oh well, we'll just have to experience it for ourselves.
Heard Mum's planning for South Africa end of this year. Should I go? There's a wedding to save for. I keep telling myself that. But I heard it's damn pretty. An aunt has been there a few times. Oh I don't know. It's too early to say.
With all the holidaying mood in the air, I'm suddenly feeling so tired from all the packing & shopping around since last Thursday where Mum, Nina & I roamed the streets of Orchard from noon to night. I'm anticipating another round of last-minute shopping tonight from the sound of Mum's call just now. Gotta go have my nap... zZzZz...
