Bibik and I made our potato salmon yesterday! Bibik did most of the work cos I was too afraid to use the knife, cut the ingredients and have anything to do with saute-ing. So I scraped the potato, told her when to put what, poured in the cream and milk, stirred the filling when it was all mixed together and filled the potato jackets with the filling. Even Mummy was proud of me when I told her I did all that! Yay!
And it's one of hubby's favourite dishes since he moved in with us. Usually, Mum makes them. His eyes lit with brilliance when I told him I was going to attempt to make the potato salmon earlier during the day.

Today, I'm making sushi. The hubby's on course this week, which means he comes home everyday. Don't know why but I've a desire to whip up something for him every day of this week. With the help of bibik of course. I'm such a scaredy cad when it comes to handling kitchen utensils. I'm hitting Isetan supermarket in a while... Need to come up with my list of things to buy now...

Since I'm blogging bout this, I might as well just list it down here:
  1. bamboo mat (lost the old one)
  2. nori
  3. knife
  4. prawn
  5. apple
  6. salad dressing
  7. salmon (again... but I don't know how to 'smoke' salmon such that it still tastes fresh)
  8. wasabi
That's about all that I can think of now.

Oh! And I came across this super interesting website that I've been working on since yesterday afternoon. Hopefully the hubby's not too tired later in the evening and can help me edit the layout. Then I can send it for print! Can't wait for the final product already!

Gotta bathe and start the day in full swing! Sushi making day...
